Roswell Slide - Today's (February 9) Update

At the risk of opening the debate about my involvement in the investigation of the Roswell Slides though I haven't talked to Don in more than a year and much of what I know has come from Tom, I will note that the slide circulating on the Internet is the real deal. This is what they were given and have been attempting to vet for over two years. For some reason I cannot get photographs to load on this blog, though I have tried everything I can think of in the last several hours, and have even used other computers. The best I can do is note that the slide was published here:

http://bit.ly/1vcCMnC

You'll have to scroll down through some messages to see the image... or you can search for another example elsewhere. It seems that the slide has been shown on a number of web sites and blogs (too bad I can't be one of them).

I am told that the slides held by Tom and Don are of much better quality, the color is sharper, the image is clearer, but this is the first look that most of us have had of it.

I will also note that this discussion of dating the slides is a little off track because no matter what is learned about the when the film was manufactured and the methodology of Kodak's developing process, in the end, all that is available is the photograph. It is interesting, but I fear that it will do little to convince the world that aliens crashed at Roswell. I have been taking a somewhat wait and see attitude, I do not know what they have done or who they contacted to validate the Kodak information, nor do I know the name of the "Lieutenant" in the one short clip. All I know for certain today is that the image we have is of the actual slide.

  2. I first saw these images posted on Facebook by Philip Mantle. Considering all of the effort the principals spent on this project, I think it's a shame that someone leaked them early out of their proper context.

I've waited long enough, I could have waited a little longer for their official reveal.

At the end of the day these images will not prove anything to anyone who doesn't want them to be real. Just as there will be many who will accept them as definitive proof.

They are simply too easy to dismiss.

That said, I appreciate that we have something which might be 'real', whatever 'real' can even mean any more by this time.

  3. Just letting people know that Adam took down the video of the interview with him. Not sure why but some are saying it's because he changed his story and doesn't want people to know. However, Dew will need to comment as to why he removed it.

Hmmmm Dr Rudiak doesn't know who it is either!

All this doesn't sound promising that's for sure...

  7. @ Gilles Fernandez,

Thank you. As I suspected it was a mummified child.

Tom Carey's and Don Schmitt's reputations are destroyed.

Roswell is now dead. It's over.

  8. TY Doc,

Well, no empressement, I'm not sure of my "finding".

"I" need a good resolution of the slide. But, for I for one and for sure, we are close to solve this ufo-saga...

Well, that's ufology after all, and Roswell particulary...

    Skeptic regards,

  9. Hello Kevin Randle, hello @ all!

I was the guy who "released" the Roswell Slide at UFO Conjecture(s).
But the Allmystery Board User "Narrenschiffer" copied the Slide from the Kodachrome Trailer and posted it on the board. And it posted it in the my comment at UFO Conjecture(s).

And yes i am the guy who believe that the Slide was faked.
I believe that the so called Roswell Dream Team, i dont know which guys are in the Team, bought a 1940s camera with a unsused camerafilm and create the location and the puppet...the alien doll and photographed it.

I am not a skeptikal...i am a so-called "Roswell Believer" and i trust the witnesses of Roswell.

And when i hear the testimony of Melvin E. Brown, who saw the dead ETs, then it look like that (in my opinion) the real Roswell Slide. You can see the real Roswell Slide on this website:

    http://science.howstuffworks.com/space/aliens-ufos/history-roswell-incident2.htm

That Slide was released in the early 1990s and until today - no one can prove that this photo are faked. This is not the Marina Popowich photo...it look like similar to the Marina Popowich photo but there are some small differences as there would be that the mouth are much bigger than at the Popowich Puppet and it looks like as that the eye of the left side the photo are damaged. Can you see that?

This photo looks like so real as the post mortem photos from the early years of the 20th century.

I hope my english is correctly...

    Best regards from Germany, Michael!

Nobody has heard the testimony of Melvin E. Brown. They have only heard the testimony of his daughter Beverley Bean some 20 years afterwards, i.e. 20 years after he told her (which was already 20+ years after he supposedly saw those bodies).

    Some testimony!

  12. DocConjure... "Roswell is now dead. It's over."

Rather a bold statement. These slides don't actually change anything as far as the Roswell story goes. Many people have tried to "get in on the act"...but the basis of the subject remains the same. The only people who may get hurt here are a very, very few people who have nailed their hats to the slides being of a genuine alien being. One of which who's reputation was already on shaky ground

This "Roswell slides" palava is an extremely minor tremor.

  13. @ Paul Young,

When I say Roswell is dead I mean the investigation aspect. As a subject it's dead. I'm not speaking to if there was or wasn't an actually extraterrestrial craft involved.

Carey and Schmitt were the last two big names of Roswell research. For the public, the big faces they know are Stanton, Kevin, Tom and Don. Tom and Don are now discredited. They were the most active researchers today. So who is stepping up to fill their shoes?

    That's why it's dead.

  14. All -

Let's get one thing straight right now. Neither Tom nor Don bought a 1940a camera and made the picture. If it is a hoax, they had no part in creating it. If it is a hoax, then they made a mistake in hyping it, but they did not create the hoax, so let's end that discussion right now.

  15. @ Gilles,

Can you find the museum where this display is found?

If so, email the curator the slides and see if he/she can recognize it as one of theirs.

  16. Dear Doc,

I have asked a Spanish language friend to contact the museum (Museo de las Momias de Guanajuato)...

    To Michael Mu :
You wrote "then it look like that (in my opinion) the real Roswell Slide. You can see the real Roswell Slide on this website:"

Do you want the prosaic explanation where these capture come from, or, wishful thinking?

If "I" provide U where this capture comes from, and then no ET, what it will change for you ?

    Gilles

  18. As I said on RR's blog I asked Jaime to take it down because I didn't think it was shot well. I re-recorded the content. It was merely a story of the finding the slides outside of Sedona. All of it still 100% accurate.

@Mu - I knew I'd get more content for the doc once the trailer was released. But wow, this will be good. Looking forward to it Michael! Before you waste your time though linking Tom and Don, just focus on me. Unless of course you think Tom and Don planted the slides for us to find knowing that we'd eventually come back to them. Wow.

  21. @ Giles,

Tom Carey said the being's chest was cut open, possibly being autopsied. However, if the being is just a mummified child then such would been part of the process of mummification, by which various organs removed to prevent decomposition to the remaining body.

  22. Who know in Earth, will now believe such slide(s?) are depicting out from Earth being?

(New) Epic fail - when full reso it would be more to come - of the so-called Roswell DreamTeam, and his £££ $$$$ business..

    Buy their books, anyway...

But Don Schmitt and Tom Carrey are liars. They told in their books that Barney Barnett saw the crashed flying Saucer and the dead ETs close by Roswell...but that is not true.

Barney Barnett saw the flying Saucer and the dead ETs in the Plains of San Agustin!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Michael Mu -

Barney Barnett did not see a crashed flying saucer on the Plains of San Agustin in 1947...

If one reports information that he or she believes to be true and it later turns out to be incorrect, it doesn't make them liars.

It is clear from the evidence that Barnett saw nothing in 1947... based on Ruth's diary, the lack of corroborating evidence, and the inability of any of the second hand witnesses to the Barnett tale to establish a time frame or a location. If you look at the original interviews with all these second hand witnesses you'll see that...

The point is that it is unfair to call them liars for that reason.

    ReplyDelete
  26. And you also say that Barney Barnett saw nothing...maybe you are also a liar like Donald Duck...whoops...Don Schmitt and Tom and Jerry...whoops...i mean Tom Carrey. ^^

    ReplyDelete
  27. Michael Mu -

If I disagree with you, that does not make me a liar. If you had read what I wrote, I said that he saw nothing on the Plains in 1947... The first-hand testimony demonstrates this. If you have any first-hand testimony to something crashing on the Plains in July 1947, present it. If not, then retract what you have said...

And there will be no more postings calling people liars who do not agree with you.

  28. Michael Mu -

I have removed your comment that includes the web site for a book that I do not endorse. I would have been much more impressed had the author actually spelled the name of the place correctly.

Once again, the Barney Barnett tale is told to us by others who were originally unable to locate it in time and space.

On the left is the depicted alien from newly released 'Roswell Kodachrome' slides, it looks remarkably like this Egyptian child mummy exhibit from the Smithsonian museum.

'The museum’s collections records indicate that this
child’s mummy was collected from Thebes by John
Hamilton Slack in 1856. Sometime after 1860, the mummy
was transferred to the Wistar Institute in Philadelphia, where
it was curated until 1958, when the mummy was transferred
to the National Museum of Natural History.'

  31. Hi, I tried to post some questions I had for anyone to respond to, but, mainly, I also hoped Adam Dew might see and reply to also. It has to do with how Mr. Dew obtained the slides, and what Nick Redfern was learning about the slides 2 years ago too. Can I post that somewhere on your blog?

I think it is worthy of consideration, since the post is based directly about what Nick Redfern was saying on someone's show. Thanks.

Also, I've posted in comments here on other threads some time ago. Is there an easy way to search the comments section to find my previous comments? Sorry for this question, but I'm new to searching blog comments. I can't seem to do it from your search page... it only seems to search blog posts and not comments too. Thank you.

  32. As I said a few weeks ago, this just screams of opportunists seeking notoriety and/or profit. From the videos a few posts ago, those involved are convincing and seem to believe their own story. The problem as so often happens is that they overreach. Rather than be satisfied with some interesting photos from a Roswell-contemporary time frame, they have to jump off the cliff. It is just a matter of time before some "witness" recognizes a birthmark on the "alien" or a cigarette burn on the Army blanket and claims to be present when the photo was taken. It is too bad as it really is interesting, but the incredibly ill-advised manner in which they've handled their public information has all but assured that by cinco de mayo they will be thoroughly discredited. For several of the "investigation" team, their credibility was already pretty damaged. At some point they won't recover.
