The "Lost" UAP Report of October

 

Tennessee Republican Congressional Representative Tim Burchett, who won reelection on Tuesday, November 8, said recently that the UAP report that had been scheduled for release on October 31 but was delayed, will be a whitewash. He said that those in charge believe that we’re too stupid to handle the truth about alien visitors.

He said leaks suggested that 366 cases of UFO, I mean UAP, sightings would be explained. He also said that the report makes it clear that these sightings are of terrestrial objects rather than alien visitation. The sightings are the result of foreign drones and weather balloons. While drones are a new wrinkle, the weather balloon explanation has served the government well, used to explain everything from the Roswell crash to Gorman dog fight with a UFO. Of course, the balloon explanation fails for Roswell but that’s another story that will come soon.

Burchett said it was all about power. This is a reason for the continued cover up that I explored in depth in UFOs and the Deep State. Those in power feared their power would be diminished if the truth came out. In Washington, it’s all about the power and the financial rewards of that power.

History has provided us with examples of how that works and while overt conquest in not necessarily the problem, it is the introduction of a superior technology that can result in a shift of power. A rifle is a superior weapon to a bow and arrow, but it takes a manufacturing base to create and a supply system to produce the ammunition. Once the rifle is adopted as the weapon of choice, those who had relied on bows and arrows, which could be made by the individual, were now at the mercy of those who had the ability to manufacture the rifle. Their society was radically altered by that superior technology and the desire to have the latest and the best.

Of course, government officials have said that there are national security implications which are the umbrella used to bury the truth. Some times that is the truth, but more often than not it is a simple excuse for refusing to answer questions.

Republican Marco Rubio, has also called for the release of the information. He said that one of the explanations offered was “airborne clutter” and that investigators found no evidence of extraterrestrial life or, and I stress this, a technological advancement by a foreign foe, meaning Russia or China. Yet, hints in the new report suggest China and others are using drones to surveil our military exercises are a solution, which negates the denial of technological advancement.

But Congressional interest doesn’t translate into governmental action. After a series of sightings in Michigan in 1966, then Congressman Gerald Ford called for a Congressional investigation. The hearings, that lasted for a day, resulted in no known action on the part of the government or the Air Force. In the end, the official conclusion about the sightings by the officers of Project Blue Book was, yes, you remember, “Swamp Gas.”

While swamp gas might have explained a sighting or two, it did not cover the range of sightings by multiple witnesses in multiple locations. The Air Force conclusion of swamp gas remains as the explanation for the sightings. The Congressional influence did nothing to advance the investigation into UFOs, only suggested that there was nothing of importance to be learned and that only the uneducated and the unsophisticated reported UFOs.

What most people are missing here, in this latest round of Congressional interest, is that we had men running for federal office who were advocating research into UFO sightings and suggesting the government has been less than candid without journalist questions about the overall situation. There were no consequences for their opinions about UFOs or for the government lack of candor in answering those questions.

Remember Democrat Dennis Kucinich. He was making a run for the presidential nomination some fifteen years ago. Fox News reported, “Dennis Kucinich’s UFO Comments Prove He’s Nuts.” At least in today’s environment, those suggesting there is something to UFO reports aren’t dismissed as nuts. The news media seems to have softened their view but I fear the outcome will be the same. In other words, there will be some sympathetic press and then everyone will forget about the UFOs, or as they are now called UAPs.

One of the real problems it that they make no plans to review the history of UFOs. There have been many good cases with independent witnesses and multiple chains of evidence. Too often these sightings have been rejected because we all know there is no such thing as alien visitation. The Lubbock Lights from 1951 are rejected as birds, even with witness statements that suggest a craft and four photographs of them. The debunkers are now saying that the pictures are faked, but I talked to the photographer more forty years after the fact. He told me then that he still doesn’t know what he photographed. In so many cases of faked photos, the photographers have eventually come clean and admitted the hoax.

There are the Washington National sightings of July 1952 with multiple pilots, both civilian and military reporting the objects. Radar sightings on multiple radars. And the official conclusion is temperature inversion.

Of course, the Levelland sightings of 1957 that was ball lightning. The Socorro landing of 1964 that some believe was a lunar lander suspended under a helicopter but no record of such a test at nearby White Sands at the proper time. The Michigan sightings, mentioned above that were labeled as swamp gas.

And since the end of “official” investigations, there have been good sightings that were belittled and categorized so that we don’t have to deal with them. Rendlesham Forest and the Cash-Landrum personal injury cases from December 1980 spring to mind here.

And, good reports being made today with calls for investigation but with no one wanting to review UFO history. These new investigators will be condemned to making the same mistakes because they won’t know what happened in the past. And in some cases, are refusing to even consider past sightings for reasons that are not viable.

The only upside for all this is that those calling for renewed investigations in the world today are not ridiculed as “nuts.” We do have some serious people who want serious investigation, but given the history, some of it briefly outlined here, I have little hope that we’ll have either an unbiased or scientific investigation. I believe that we are doomed to more of the same given the missed deadlines and the leaked information that we have seen recently.

Coast to Coast - The UAP, DNI Report

I have updated this report a half dozen times in the last 24 hours because more information keeps leaking into the public environment. I will note that we have reached June (obviously) and that the report about what we now call UAPs rather than UFOs is due to Congress, allegedly arriving on June 25, the anniversary of the Custer disaster at the Little Bighorn. Or for those on the other side would say, the Battle of the Greasy Grass.

I say allegedly because these things have a way of slipping. There are all sorts of tricks used to make it seem that the requirements have been met, but, of course, the true spirit is sometimes overlooked. We have heard a lot about this since the mandate was passed as part of one of the Covid-19 relief packages last year. I will also note that this was supposed to be an unclassified report about these UAPs, but there is discussion about a classified appendix to it, which we, outside the Congress, will not see. The important note, however, is that it was to be an unclassified report but almost immediately there was talk of a classified section.

These recent video recordings of UFO sightings have spurred a renewed interest in UFOs and is the cause of the Congressional interest. While all that sounds good on paper, I have been hearing some disturbing things about the report. There are some rumors that the report will be delayed because the 180-day time frame did not allow for the collection of the data from the various government agencies. That is always a problem. Multiple government agencies have multiple agendas, which sometimes don’t fit together. Although we have a release date, it might not be met.

We have heard from the former Director of National Intelligence, the DNI, John Ratcliffe that the government has “a lot more” sightings of the UAPs. Importantly, he said, “When we talk about sightings, we are talking about objects that have been seen by Navy or Air Force pilots, or have been picked up by satellite imagery that frankly engage in actions that are difficult to explain. … traveling at speeds that exceed the sound barrier without a sonic boom.”

I need to point out that we can look at the long history of UFO sightings and see the same observations made decades ago. Ed Ruppelt, one time chief of Project Blue Book, tried to determine how the UFOs could exceed the sound barrier without the sonic boom. It was something that plagued them in the 1950s. Even artillery rounds, that move faster than sound make, well, a sound. Those interested in ballistics will tell you that the crack associated with pistol and rifle fire is the sound of the bullet breaking the sound barrier. Only .22 caliber short rounds do not break the sound barrier which is why some assassins prefer to use that round. (And yes, there is a sound when the weapon is discharged, but that is not the same as the crack.)

On June 1, just last Tuesday, questions about the timing were directed at Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby who said that the report was coming from DNI and that the release of the “Congressionally mandated study,” was up to him.  He also refused respond to an inquiry that they, in the Pentagon, have ruled out the possibility of lifeforms out there, meaning beyond Earth. That rumor does persist. And, according to some of the leaked information, they didn’t find aliens… I’m not surprised.

The New York Times reported on June 3, that “U.S. Finds No Evidence of Alien Technology in Flying Objects, but Can’t Rule it Out, Either.” This is, of course, what I think of as weasel wording. It tells us nothing at all.

They go onto to say, “The report determines that the vast majority of more than 120 incidents over the past two decades did not original from any American military or other advanced U.S. government technology, the officials said. That determination would appear to eliminate the possibility that Navy pilots who reported seeing unexplained aircraft might have encountered programs the government meant to keep secret.”

This sort of dancing around the point is, of course, exactly what I thought would happen because we have seen this all before. In 1969, the Condon Committee, the

study commissioned by the USAF at the University of Colorado, didn’t find any evidence of alien visitation either. The conclusions at the end of that “scientific” study was that the Air Force had done a good job of investigation, nothing could be learned by further investigation, and there were no national security aspects to the UFO/UAP sightings.

That was it. Condon found what he was required to find, as outlined before the study even began, and the Air Force used the report to close Project Blue Book, one of the goals of the investigation. That was the end of official investigations into UFO sightings and if you saw something strange, well, the advice was to call local law enforcement if you felt threatened. But now we know all that isn’t true. Other agencies have been investigating UFOs. One, operating under the name “Moon Dust,” operated until 1985, when that name was compromised. The evidence suggests only the name was changed but the investigations continued. Now we know about the AATIP program, which was another study or investigation, or at the very least, a collecting of UFO information, that was operating in this century. What that means is simply that the Condon Committee wasn’t a scientific investigation, but was a public relations move. Given all that, maybe we can retire the tired suggestion that science looked at the UFO sightings and determined there was nothing to worry about. Seems that there is something to worry about based on what the government has been doing for the last decade or so.

Lue Elizondo, who sparked some of this interest when he leaked the Tic-Tak footage, just last week filed an Inspector General complaint against what he said was a DoD “disinformation campaign” against him for speaking out about the UFO situation.

Although it seems that Elizondo is interested in clearing his name, he also said he was trying to get the Pentagon to clear up, what he called “the ambiguity about UFOs, that there are different groups that are responsible for responding to this particular phenomenon. They’re not briefing each other on this.”

Which does play into the trouble with the required report, gathering the information from the various organizations that control it, and writing the report for Congress that is unclassified. None of this bodes well for disclosure of UFO information, but that has been the problem for decades. Those in charge simply don’t want the information disseminated to the general public and the reason for that is laid out in UFOS and The Deep State.

I did write more about Davis, but much of it dealt with Davis’ claim that the Del Rio UFO crash was real. If you wish to pursue this line of thought, just type Eric Davis into the search engine and you’ll probably learn more than you care to about Davis and his claims about Del Rio.

Don and I also delved, slightly, into tales of stolen valor and those who claim Vietnam service when it is clear they never served in Vietnam. That, of course led us to Cliff Stone and his somewhat tall tales about his experiences in Vietnam. True, Stone did serve in Vietnam but not the four tours he claimed and it is clear that he was a clerk and not an infantry soldier. Some of that service seemed to be in the theater of operations but might not have been actually in Vietnam.

In the second show, we enter the realm alien abduction, including possible explanations for it and some observations about it. This moves us to Rendlesham Forest and the information provided by Jim Penniston and John Burroughs about their experiences and possible hypnotic and chemical regressions. Terry Lovelace and his experiences are also discussed. I outlined those in UFOs and the Deep State.

In the two shows, we tried to cover some of the aspects of the UFO field as it exists today. We both have military back grounds and both had high-level top-secret clearances so that we can speak was some authority on how those things work. We provide some insights that should be useful to those who wish to engage in additional research. I try to ensure that there is enough information for those others to begin their work.

Coast to Coast AM - San Antonio UFO Crash/Harry Reid

 It’s been a wild one this week. Trending on social media lately was the tale of a UFO crash near San Antonio, New Mexico in 1945. The story is that two youngsters, searching for a lost cow, heard a loud rumble, saw a flash of light and then a cloud of dust and smoke. You can read the whole story here:

They approached that area, saw the downed craft and three small, thin creatures.  They told their parents, who returned with them and saw the craft but not the aliens. Eventually, the military did arrive and cleaned the area and removed the craft but not before the boys managed to take samples of the debris. Jacques Vallee and Paola Harris are coming out with a book detailing this story. I’m skeptical of aspects of the case but want to see what the investigation has turned up. Don Schmitt mentioned to me that he had spoken to Reme Baca a number of years ago. According to Schmitt, the crash had taken place in 1947 and on the Plains of San Agustin. It was later that the story evolved to San Antonio, NM, and to 1945. You can listen to Don’s discussion here (in the first segment):

Also gaining traction this week are a couple of statements by former Nevada senator Harry Reid. He is reported to have said, “I was told for decades that Lockheed had some of these retrieved materials. And I tried to get, as I recall classified approval by the Pentagon to have me go look at the stuff. They would not approve that. I don’t know what all the numbers were, what kind of classification it was, but they would not give that to me.”

I need to make it clear here that Senator Reid did not see the debris himself, and, although he has been to Area 51 a number of times, he saw nothing to indicate that alien spacecraft were housed there.

Curt Collins reported Senator Reid clarified earlier remarks about recovered debris by saying, “I’ve never believed Lockheed had anything in that regard, even though a lot of people believe that — I don’t.” As to whether any UFO fragments are stored away in some other government or contractor’s warehouse, Reid is doubtful: “I never heard of anything, other than some conspiratorialists. So, I don’t think that they’re credible that they’re things from outer space.”

However, I’m reminded of Senator Barry Goldwater who talked of a blue room hidden at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base where much of the recovered material was stored. According to what Senator Goldwater said, on many occasions, when he approached Air Force General Curtis LeMay about permission to visit the blue room, he was told, “No, and never ask me again.” I have a letter from Barry Goldwater sent to Kent Jeffrey in which Goldwater confirms that information.

original letter rather than a copy. I have it still.

These stories go back for decades and while we have had hints about the level of secrecy, it is only recently that we have seen how high that secrecy extends. When Jimmy Carter was the president-elect, he attempted to learn more about UFOs and asked then Director of Central Intelligence, George H.W. Bush, about UFOs. Bush told Carter that he was not yet the president and refused to provide that information. I explore that in UFOs and the Deep State, providing the details of that refusal and how such things are managed by the Deep State in Washington D.C.

Now we look forward to the release of the UFO/UAP report scheduled for next month, though I just heard it has been delayed, which is no real surprise. I have little hope that we’ll learn something new about UFOs, or that there will be any exciting revelations. I look for it being Condon 2.0, which is just another attempt to kill interest in UFOs by suggesting there is nothing to them. It is just an appeal to authority that doesn’t answer any questions we might have.
