One of the first things I do when looking at a non-fiction book before buying it is to have a peep at the index to see what topics are covered (not always obtainable from the chapter headings).

In page 189, you seem to explain the deblur time-line made by RSRG, but got the facts wrong.
You wrote (I summarize too), May the 6th, Dew put online a scan of the placard because the criticism of the slides from the presentation and we deblurred "cause" we have downloaded it. Huu??????????
Dew put online a capture of the placard only because he and other believed and accusing us to have cheated the placard when we shared public our first results. The deblur processing then was already engaged and finished for the first lines.

Bragalia did the same in Rich'blog ("we cheated the placard" he claimed).
So A. Dew put online a good rezo of the placard only to accuse us to have cheated. Problem, RSRG obtained the same results and deblur with his own material too (as with the one provided by Bragalia). Hihi.
So, the deblur was not made FIRST from material Dew put online as you seem to explain to your readers.
The deblur was made or started May the 8th (and not the 6th) because one our contact in Mexico shared his material ( a good resolution of one the 2 slide) to José who shared it to us and Nab Lator looked at it. It was its material allowing the deblur, not the one we downwloaded in Adam' site...

Excellent, just ordered my copy as well.
This seems about as appropriate a spot to discuss the 2002 Skip Site archaeological study so here goes. I commented to Mr. Randall previosly concerning the 1989 CUFOS study and touched on the 2002 study before I read the investigation report. Doleman certainly has courage that's for sure but then he has the reputation to laugh off any professional criticisms. I happen to think that archaeology and geoarchaeology are suited to the Roswell proble. Consider this: Bill Doleman went into the field with two professional archaeologists besides himself. He had to manage perhaps a dozen volunteers on a minimal budget, and he had to work around a half dozen schedules. I don't imagine the archaeology cost the SciFi channel more that @30k if that (UNM Office of Contract Archaeology billed the three man team at $1350/day. In 2000, we were charging a $1000.00 a day just for the principal (me). SciFi was getting one hell of a bargain.
I don't mean to be critical of Doleman's effort. He had to make compromises because of his volenteers and lack of money. But what really matters is that Doleman found nothing conclusive because SciFi did the job on the cheap. Considering the nature of the original deposit, I can't help but think if I were in charge, I would have used backhoe trenching to define stratigraphy. .5 meter square pits (we call them mini units) were ultimately a waste of time. Consider expections, I would have use 5 meter square blocks dug with shovels to 20 cm. The primary objective of the archaeology should have been to move dirt. The goal was to find alien artifacts. I would have dug levels using surfacce topography and minimized measuring. This is possible with a professional crew. I can eyeball 10cm with better than 95% accuracy. To much time was wasted on minutae. Who cares what depth the artifacts was found? If it was what was expected, and alien, the event is known rendering depth sort of pointless. I would have tried to move as much dirt as possible as fast as possible. I would have also carefuuly inspected the surface for a 1,000 meters in all directions. I understand some materials could be buried. But they founf Indian artifacts from hundreds of years ago on the surface. Sure, some alien items could have been buried but I doubt more than 20 cm. Ideally one should dig as deep as visible disturbance but Doleman hads his hands and feet tied. I've worked with volunteers oten and usually, they are end up costing more than using professionals.
On the positive sidem the ECM and metal detec tor surveys were a good idea but the metal detector should have covered the whole site--again SciFi working on the cheap. My biggest disappointment was with the aerials. With all the talk about a trough caused by the saucer skipping off the ground, one would expect a visible trench in the 1947 image. There isn't any that I can see but then I'm not looking at originals.
I wonder if this investigation did more harm than good. It gives the impression of meticulousness (it was meticulous) but I honestly believe the methods were less than desireable. Archaeology is a tool consisting of various methods. One always attempts to predict what will be found and than designs methods to capture suspected data with a margin of era for the unexpected.
I regret Doleman was underfundered because if he had trained archaeologists and a mapping team using infrared total station, and money to fully test the site he might have made an incredible discovery. In California we wouldn't call the 2002 study a test. We would call it extended survey which preceeds full testing and data recovery. Again, I think Dr. Doleman took on an impossible mission b ut if rolls were reversed, I would have done the work aleit in a slightly different way.
